Editorial and corrections policy
PuzzleShore creates printable learning activities for parents, caregivers, tutors, and teachers. Our goal is to publish clear, age-appropriate puzzles that are easy to preview and useful beyond simply finding hidden words.
How curated puzzles are made
A curated puzzle starts with a defined grade range, science topic, learning objective, and vocabulary list. The printable grid and answer key may be produced with software, but the vocabulary, definitions, instructions, and final files are reviewed before the page is included in our main grade and topic collections.
What we review
- Every listed word appears in the puzzle and in the answer key.
- Definitions use language appropriate for the intended age range.
- The puzzle and answer-key files open, print, and match the page description.
- Parent instructions, discussion prompts, and classroom adaptations are relevant to that specific topic.
- Titles, grade labels, and topic labels accurately describe the activity.
Creator and review dates
Curated puzzle pages identify PuzzleShore as the organizational creator and show the latest review date. The content and generated answer key receive separate checks before publication. Older puzzles kept in the miscellaneous archive are retained for continuity and do not carry the same curated-content promise.
Corrections
We correct factual errors, missing words, mismatched answer keys, broken print files, and unclear instructions as soon as they are confirmed. Material corrections update the page’s review date and regenerate affected files. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a separate correction notice.
