Terms and printable-use license

Effective: September 2, 2026

By using PuzzleShore, you agree to these terms. The site and its printables are provided for learning and general informational use. If you do not agree, please do not use or copy the materials.

License for marked curated resources

Each curated puzzle and answer key that displays a license notice is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International license (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Under that license, you may copy, share, download, print, and adapt a marked resource for noncommercial use, including:

You must credit PuzzleShore, link to the resource when practical, include the CC BY-NC 4.0 license name or URL, and indicate whether you made changes. The resource page provides attribution text you can copy.

License limits

The Creative Commons license allows noncommercial adaptations and redistribution when its attribution conditions are followed. For commercial use or another permission, emailprivacy@puzzleshore.com before using the material.

What the license does not cover

The license applies only to a puzzle or answer key that is explicitly marked with the CC BY-NC 4.0 notice. It does not cover PuzzleShore names or trademarks, site code and design, advertising, third-party material, or items in the miscellaneous archive unless an item is separately marked. Those materials remain protected by applicable law.

Availability and accuracy

We work to keep puzzles accurate and available, but the site is provided “as is.” We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every activity will suit every learner. An adult should preview the vocabulary and difficulty before giving a puzzle to a child. PuzzleShore is not a substitute for professional educational advice.

Ownership and changes

PuzzleShore retains ownership of its original material. Applying the CC BY-NC 4.0 license gives the public the permissions stated above; it does not transfer copyright ownership. Third-party names remain the property of their owners. We may update these terms or remove content, but the Creative Commons license is irrevocable for copies already received while its conditions are followed.
